Foley Communications & Consulting began long before its official inception. Published at just 12 years old, Founder Ashley Foley’s journey as a storyteller began early, driven by a belief that everyone has a story. After a nearly two-decade career in journalism, Ashley followed her passion for sharing authentic stories as an entrepreneur—not bound by a publisher’s deadline, a newspaper’s word count, or dependent on advertising dollars.
The early days were a whirlwind of discovery and connection. Foley Communications debuted at the spring Women Inspiring Women vendor event. It was here Ashley met Cheyanne of CO’ Marketing, who became an integral mentor.
“Cheyanne’s mentorship was pivotal,” Ashley says. “Together, we crafted a marketing campaign that defined Foley Communications and launched my signature service: Local Legacy Storytelling in October, 2024.”

Angela Kinmond of Angela Wiggins Art, is a talented local Indigenous artist. Angela’s handpainted paddles, inspired by her Anishinaabe heritage, took the stage at the 2024-2025 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships, blending art, culture, and sport through an opportunities with Hockey Canada.

However, many are unaware of the roots that built the strong foundation on which Foley Tree Service operates and, most importantly, the seed that planted those roots: Dylan Foley.
