Chiropractor | Co-Owner, Belleville Integrative Health Centre | Founder, Quinte Animal Chiropractic

Dr. Andrea Sorichetti has always been driven by a love of movement, a willingness to take on challenges, and the resilience built through sport.

A former international downhill ski racer, she spent her teenage years competing on the slopes through the Federation of International Skiers in Collingwood, Ontario. She also qualified and raced for Team Ontario. Those early experiences—marked by dedicated training and a commitment to growth—would set the foundation for her future in health care.

“I had multiple injuries from competition. I always thought there was only one type of chiropractor,” she recalls. “Then I saw a sports chiro, and it opened my eyes to what I wanted to do.”

Andrea’s interest in evidence-based, hands-on healing was shaped not only by her athletic background but also by her upbringing. Raised by parents who led by example, she was taught to work hard, stay humble, and measure success through personal growth and integrity as opposed to relying on outside praise. Those values have guided her throughout her career and remain central to how she leads and cares today.

Laying the Professional Groundwork

After earning dual degrees in Life Sciences and Physical and Health Education from Queen’s University in 2009, Andrea completed her Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College in 2013. She added certifications in Medical Acupuncture (McMaster University), Webster Technique, Fascial Abrasion Technique (F.A.T), Functional Range Conditioning (FRC), pediatric sleep consulting, and veterinary chiropractic care. She obtained board certification through 1.5 years of additional training at the Veterinary Chiropractic Learning Centre, in Brantford.

Her pursuit of clinical excellence is grounded in compassion and practicality. “I like being able to help my patients feel and function better,” she says. “It’s about fixing injuries, yes—but also preventing future ones with the right tools and rehab.”

A Clinic and a Calling

Andrea moved to Belleville in 2013 to join the Belleville Integrative Health Centre as its first associate chiropractor. Just four years later, she became co-owner and held a vital role in leading the clinic’s expansion into a multidisciplinary hub for comprehensive care.

That same year, Andrea founded BIHC’s Women’s Health Team—a specialized group of female providers focused on prenatal, postpartum, and pediatric care. The idea was simple but powerful: build a team where women treat women and collaborate closely with local doctors, pediatricians, OB/GYNs, midwives, and doulas to ensure personalized, well-rounded care.

“My belief is that health foundations start early,” Andrea explains. “For moms and babies, that means supporting them physically and emotionally through every stage.”

Her treatment style reflects her lived experience. As a mother of two young children, Andrea knows firsthand the complexities of early parenthood—and strives to create a space that is welcoming, flexible, and judgment-free.

“Most of the time I’m working on a mom’s shoulders while she’s nursing and her toddler is running around the room with snacks,” she laughs. “And that’s okay. That’s real life. We make it work.”

Healing Across Species

Andrea’s love of animals is lifelong—and so is her belief that animals, like humans, deserve the same thoughtful, rehabilitative care.

Through her second practice, Quinte Animal Chiropractic, Andrea treats small animals suffering from mobility issues, injury, or chronic pain. She works out of the Loyalist Veterinary Orthopedic and Rehab Centre and has seen firsthand the impact this work can have.

“Many families reach out when surgery isn’t an option, and their pets are struggling with pain or mobility,” she says. “It’s deeply rewarding when I can help bring back comfort and quality of life.”

For Andrea, it’s not about separating human and animal care, it’s about a shared belief in healing through movement, touch, and trust.

Community, Team, and Gratitude

Today, Andrea remains deeply committed to both her clinical team and the wider Belleville community.

“I feel so lucky to be with the BIHC team,” she says. “We owe a lot to our front desk team, our records clerk, our assistants, and especially Sonya, who steers the BIHC ship. I’m also so grateful for Ben and Angela—they’ve been such a big part of this journey.”

Outside of work, Andrea continues to stay active through long-distance running, skiing, and professional development in pediatric health and rehab. Whether she’s helping a newborn settle into better sleep, a toddler meet milestones, supporting a new mother through recovery, or restoring mobility to a beloved pet, Andrea brings the same calm focus to every patient she treats.

“Our patients feel like family,” she says. “And I never want to lose that.”

From the slopes to the clinic and into parenthood, Dr. Andrea Sorichetti continues to grow and evolve her practice purpose, care, and an eye toward what’s possible.
