Chiropractor | Co-Owner, Belleville Integrative Health Centre
Dr. Ben Osborne’s journey into chiropractic care was shaped by personal experience. After a series of his own injuries, he found himself as a patient—experiencing firsthand how hands-on care could relieve pain, restore movement, and improve daily life.
“My own injuries led me to get treatment and care,” he shares. “This opened my eyes to this career, and I fell in love with working with patients—using my hands and my head to help people.”
That natural curiosity about the human body took root early. Growing up on a farm after moving to Belleville in the late 1980s, Ben’s first education in anatomy came from the livestock around him. Farming life didn’t just teach him about structure and function—it also built the habits of hard work, resourcefulness, and reliability that still guide him today.
Foundations in Education
Ben earned a Bachelor of Kinesiology from the University of Western Ontario in 2003, followed by certification through McMaster University’s Medical Acupuncture program in 2008. That same year, he received his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (NSCA-CSCS) designation. He completed his Doctor of Chiropractic at the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) in 2009.
Since then, he’s completed further training in oral facial pain and TMD conditions, as well as certification in Complete Concussion Management—equipping him with the tools to treat complex and evolving patient needs. He first began practice at clinics including TIHC, the Trent Hills Health Centre, and the Sports Performance Centre in Toronto, before returning to Belleville to build something of his own.

Farm to Foundations
In 2009, Ben officially joined Belleville Integrative Health Centre as an associate after leaving Toronto to move back to his hometown. In 2011, he bought the practice alongside Dr. Matt Wong as co-owners. Together with a growing team of chiropractors and allied professionals, BIHC operated out of several locations before the decision was made to build a permanent home.
Ben’s father owned land in a prime area of Belleville and agreed to build the facility that would house the new clinic. “He wasn’t part the business of BIHC,” Ben says, “but he gave us the ability to build the clinic and grow into what we are today.” Once construction was complete, Ben and the BIHC ownership team assumed the mortgage on the new location.
Across the same lot, Ben’s brother now operates his own business—an extension of their family’s shared work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. For Ben, the clinic is more than a workspace. It is a physical reflection of the values he grew up with: community, commitment, and family legacy.
Ben’s father passed away shortly after the clinic opened, but not before he had the chance to see what his son helped create. “He was so proud of it,” Ben recalls. “He would come in, sit in the front reception, and just watch everything. He loved it here.”
Today, a plaque in memory of his father hangs outside the staff room. His photo remains in the clinic—a quiet reminder of the foundation BIHC was built on and the legacy that continues.
A Life of Care
Ben is a chiropractor, business owner, and coach—but first and foremost, a husband and father. He and his wife, a registered nurse, are raising three children in Belleville. Whether he’s coaching his kids’ sports teams or golfing on weekends, his life reflects the same purpose that grounds his professional work: helping people stay active, feel better, and live well.
As BIHC continues to evolve, so does Ben’s commitment to care. “The goal is to keep the journey evolving and growing to continue to provide great care in the ever-changing world,” he says.
